His Next Magnificent Chapter Begins. So Does Ours.

When your son graduates with a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, you celebrate the achievement.

But you also quietly realize something else:

A chapter has ended.

For nearly 29 years, my husband and I poured ourselves into raising, loving, guiding, supporting, encouraging, and championing our son into adulthood.

And now?

He’s officially launched.

Kyle has already begun his career as a scientist at a top company in San Diego, and his next magnificent chapter is just beginning.

And so is ours.

That realization feels both beautiful and surprisingly emotional.

Because once the years of parenting intensity soften…

once the milestones are reached…

once the calendars, commitments, responsibilities, and expectations begin to shift…

You finally have room to ask yourself:

What do I want now?
Not for your children.
Not for your clients.

Not for everyone else.

For YOU.

That’s one reason leading the Ruby Slipper Collective™ feels deeply personal to me, not simply as a business venture, but as a meaningful gathering place for accomplished women standing at their own threshold moments.

Women who have built successful lives… and are now asking bigger, deeper, truer questions about how they want the rest of life to feel.

Less autopilot.
More intention.
Less proving.
More choosing.
Less living by default.
More living on purpose.

If you’ve been imagining your own next magnificent chapter and would love to explore it alongside thoughtful, accomplished women doing the same, I’d love to talk with you.

You can read more about Ruby Slipper Collective right here.

There’s a “Chat with Nancy” button on the page that makes connecting easy.

And if you’d like a little extra heart today, I’d love to share something deeply meaningful with you.

I recently co-created a music video with R’oberto Singleton honoring Kyle’s journey to this milestone moment.

Watching it reminded me how quickly a lifetime unfolds and how important it is to pause long enough to truly celebrate it.

We were aiming for a five-Kleenex salute.

Mission accomplished.

When you watch the video, I’d truly love to hear what it stirs in you.

Did it remind you how quickly the years move?

How the days can feel long while entire seasons of life somehow fly by in a blur?

Did it make you think about milestones already lived…

Or magnificent chapters still waiting to be written?

Because if this season of life has taught me anything, it’s this:

There is no perfect someday waiting to begin your next chapter.

There is only now.

Now to dream.

Now to choose.

Now to make space for what matters most.

Now, to become more intentional about how you want the rest of your life to feel.

I’d love to hear what this video — or this season of reflection — awakens for you.
